Ron Schutz is a husband, father, veteran, and one of Minnesota's best lawyers. He grew up on a Minnesota dairy farm, where hard work, faith, and discipline weren't just values — they were survival. Those roots shaped everything that followed: a mechanical engineering degree magna cum laude from Marquette, law school with honors at the University of Minnesota, and four years defending and prosecuting in Army courtrooms.

Over the last two decades, Ron built a national reputation as one of Minnesota's best lawyers — the kind of attorney corporations fear and families trust. He was named a "Lawdragon Legend" and has been ranked among the 500 Leading Lawyers in America year after year.

At home, Ron is the same man he is in the courtroom — steady, devoted, and all-in. He's been married to his high school sweetheart, Janet, for decades, and together they raised three children right here in Minnesota. Devotion to his family and community aren't talking points for Ron, they're the foundation everything else is built on. He is a man of faith, an endurance athlete, and an outdoorsman who has trekked to Everest Base Camp, climbed Kilimanjaro, and run numerous marathons. He brings that same relentless determination to every courtroom — and now to the office of Attorney General.
